Where are these knives made?
Made in China.
What is the knife block made out of? Is there a veneer or is it solid wood?
The knife block is made of pine wood inside and rubber wood outside.
Are they left or right-handed knives?
They're suitable for both left and right-handed use.
Is there a replacement for the Paring Knife? We got this set as a gift and there was no paring knife in the set.
All knives in the bottom row are the same.

Can this go in the dishwasher?
Generally wood and water don’t mix that well and the wood will eventually crack and create a pilly surface. You should just wipe it dry, and make sure you oil it regularly. The quality is actually very durable, compared to other wood cutting boards.
